Patricia Lahoz: Colors and Shapes

Patricia Lahoz hails from the Dominican Republic and currently works as a veterinary technician, animal advocate, and conservationist. She is also deeply involved in rescue operations, all while nurturing her artistic side.

The mission of her art project, Colors and Shapes, is to generate funds for and enhance awareness about the critical issue of endangered animals—from wildlife to livestock—all of which are significantly impacting the island’s food resources. Currently, she owns and operates a sanctuary for rescue animals unfit for adoption due to health or behavioral issues. Through the sale of her artwork, Patricia aims to secure the resources she needs to shelter and care for these animals. Patricia is also dedicated to preserving a heritage poultry breed, the Salmon Faverolle, which is threatened with extinction. Her goal is to breed and increase their population, ensuring the survival of this unique breed.
