Ithaca Crossroads Fest on the Commons featuring Truth Decay, Cashmere Rips, Lucky Strike, Last Call Acapella
Ithaca Crossroads Fest seeks to unite Cornell students and Ithaca residents through a collaborative, arts-focused event that harnesses the power of local artists, performers, and community engagement. Our goal is to break the invisible boundary that is created when we talk about Cornell being "on the hill". We plan to achieve that by facilitating a diverse cultural exchange between Cornell bands, and artists, as well as local Ithacan Bands and artists, that will highlight each groups diversity and talent. We have live band performances at Bernie Milton Pavilion and interactive art exhibits!
Our mission is two-sided: one is to foster an appreciation of the Ithaca community from Cornellians, who so often hold unfounded stereotypes about the Ithaca community, and the other is to invite Ithacans to participate in and be a part of Cornell's rich arts scene. We want to additionally break the stereotype that we have heard from numerous members of Tompkins county: that Cornellians do not have the interests or time to be engaged with their local communities.
We're all super excited to foster connection and have a night full of fun and memories. Hope to see you all there!
