Saundra Goodman & Bethany Parisi: Saundra Goodman: Strands To Stitches: Texture, Textile, Text AND Bethany Parisi: Carved out Stories: Nature in Low Relief

Come to the CAP ArtSpace for conversation and cookies!

One of our two exhibits is by local artist Saundra Goodman. The exhibit chronicles her journey in creating crochet art. It begins with explorations in color and form through experimentation with crochet soft sculpture, pictorials, and abstract expression. "In my current works I am exploring themes of women's empowerment and multiculturalism as I experience America's changing attitudes towards both of these issues.

" Bethany Parisi's exhibit is a celebration of nature and traditional folk art through the medium of low relief wood carving, where each piece reflects a blend of personal memory and nature. The exhibit features approximately 15 to 20 hand-carved art pieces, each made from various shapes and sizes of soft woods such as pine and poplar. Each carving invites viewers to pause, look closely, and feel connected to the world around them.

The Community Arts Partnership thanks our year-round ArtSpace Sponsor, Coughlin & Gerhart.
